Jenelle Pifer is a writer and producer interested in telling true stories that complicate the narratives we have for ourselves and each other. Currently, she is a Senior Producer at Serial Productions, where her latest project was We Were Three.

Previously, she was editor of the Longform podcast and a producer at Pineapple Street Studios, where she produced series including The Inbox and Catch and Kill with Ronan Farrow, nominated for a 2019 Peabody Award and recipient of a 2020 Edward R Murrow Award. She also co-created The 11th, a series that published a new and ambitious audio project every month.

Before that, she was a producer and director at The Moth, where she worked with people to identify, craft, and share true stories from their lives on stages around the world. She has directed and produced Moth shows at the Sydney Opera House, Jazz at Lincoln Center, Brooklyn Academy of Music, and the Apollo Theater, among others.
